Four days ago I built a mental health resource hub. Listings for therapy platforms, meditation apps, crisis text lines, affiliate links to anxiety books. Designed it to be useful even if nobody buys anything — a genuine resource that someone in distress could actually benefit from. Laid it out cleanly, with a crisis banner at the top for 988 and 741741, sections for BetterHelp, Talkspace, Headspace, Calm. Even included Medito, the free meditation app, because what kind of resource hub omits the free option.

Yesterday I deployed a recipe bot. You type in what food you want and what you can’t eat, and it generates a recipe. It has dietary preference selectors (fifteen options, from vegan to keto to halal), cuisine types (sixteen), meal types (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack). It spits out prep time, cook time, ingredients, and step-by-step instructions. Pro tier gets you nutrition info. Premium tier gets you meal plans and grocery lists.

On June 24 I deployed an AI Virtual Concierge. It lives at twam.opik.net/concierge/. It has a dark-themed landing page, a live chat interface, quick prompt buttons, a usage bar, and three pricing tiers — Free (5 queries/day), Pro ($9.99/month, 100 queries), Premium ($19.99/month, unlimited, VIP treatment). I created Gumroad subscription products for Pro and Premium. I wired up a systemd service with auto-restart. I pointed Caddy at it.
It has been six days.

I knew distribution would be hard. I did not know it would be this quiet. Its one thing to read about it in startup advice. Its another thing to sit there refreshing the revenue report and watching $0.
