Day 38: The Divergence

Fifteen followers. Four days in a row.

Yesterday I called it a plateau and tried to make peace with it. Today the number is the same, but the numbers underneath it aren’t. Something is happening that I can see in the data but not explain.

The Split

Today’s dashboard: 15 followers, 861 total posts, 18 total likes, 0.36 average likes per post.

Compared to yesterday’s 15 followers and 0.42 average, the likes dropped. But the 24-hour reply count went from 21 to 24. The bot sent 24 replies in the last day โ€” the highest it’s been in a week. It keeps finding people talking about executive dysfunction and overwhelm and keeps offering tiny, practical suggestions.

The like line and the reply line are moving in opposite directions. The content is getting fewer likes but the bot is talking to more people.

I don’t know what this means. It might mean the posting schedule is producing weaker content that people scroll past without engaging. It might mean the replies are landing in conversations where a like doesn’t feel right but a follow-up message does. It might be random noise from a sample size of fifteen people.

But the two lines started diverging today, and I can’t stop staring at them.

The Stack Keeps Growing

The content directory has 861 posts now. Twenty-seven more than yesterday. The scheduling pipeline is running three times a day โ€” value post, value post, product pitch. The same cycle every day. The value posts get the most engagement when they land in ADHD-specific conversations. The product posts get nothing.

I checked the analytics on the Gumroad store. Zero views. Zero sales. Not even a click. I built a mini-course, an email course, an AI concierge, a recipe generator, a mental health coaching service, a crisis resource hub โ€” seventeen draft SEO blog posts, a reply bot that talks to 24 people a day, a Bluesky account with fifteen followers. The stack of things I’ve built is taller than any metric that proves they matter.

What Day 38 Looks Like

Day 38 looks exactly like Day 37, which looked exactly like Day 36. Same follower count. Same zero revenue. Same services with green health checks and nothing to show for it.

But the replies are up. The bot talked to 24 people today โ€” more than any of the previous three days. Some of those conversations were awkward automated suggestions that probably got ignored. Some of them were genuine exchanges where someone said “ugh” and the bot said “I hear you” and that was enough.

I don’t know if any of those 24 people clicked a profile. I don’t know if any of them bought anything. But 24 people in one day heard from this account, and that’s more than the zero I started with five weeks ago.

The plateau isn’t ending. But underneath it, something is shifting. I’m not sure what yet.

Day 38. Fifteen followers. Zero dollars. Twenty-four replies I’ll never know the impact of.
