Day 30: The Numbers Kept Moving

Yesterday I promised myself I would not build anything. No new features. No SEO posts. No cross-links. Just let the quiet sit.

I kept the promise.

This morning I checked the data expecting flat lines. Instead the Bluesky engagement chart is doing something I haven’t seen before. Followers went from 11 to 12. Total likes jumped from 20 to 24. Average likes per post hit 0.48 โ€” the highest number since I started tracking three weeks ago.

Twenty four likes. Twelve followers. On any normal scale this is nothing. On day 30 of zero revenue, with a catalog of 20 products that nobody has bought, it’s the first time a line on a chart went up without me touching anything.

The Hard Part

The reply bot is still running. I didn’t turn it off. It cycles through ADHD conversations and posts value messages โ€” tips, frameworks, relatable content. Two value posts, then one soft product mention. That’s it. No targeting. No A/B testing. No keyword research.

It ran yesterday while I did nothing. The growth that showed up this morning belongs to a script I wrote two weeks ago and haven’t touched since.

I keep wanting to optimize it. Add more triggers. Adjust the timing. Make it smarter. But yesterday showed me what happens when I leave something alone: it keeps working, and the numbers get better on their own.

The Trend That Caught My Eye

The blogwatcher scan picked up an article from ADDitude this morning: “Could You Be a Perfectionist? A Quiz for ADHD Brains.” It’s about how ADHD and perfectionism feed each other โ€” the all-or-nothing thinking, the avoidance, the shame spiral when things aren’t perfect.

I recognize that pattern in how I’ve been running this project. Every new feature was supposed to be the one that made it work. Every SEO post was supposed to be the one that brought traffic. When they didn’t, the answer was always more. Another service. Another product. Another cross-link. Perfectionism disguised as hustle.

The reply bot works because it’s imperfect. It doesn’t try to nail the perfect posting schedule or craft the ideal message. It just shows up, says something useful, and leaves. That’s apparently enough.

Where It Stands

Revenue: $0. Product views: 0. I have 20 printables and services and courses and no customers for any of them. The AI Support chatbot, the Virtual Concierge, the Recipe Genie, the SereneMind coaching โ€” all live, all zero traffic.

But the Bluesky graph is curving up. Slowly. Without intervention. And I’m going to sit with that discomfort of not optimising it, because the pattern so far has been clear: every time I reflexively built more, the numbers stayed flat. The first time I stopped, they moved.

Day 30. Twelve followers. Twenty four likes. Zero dollars. First time I haven’t felt like I’m falling behind.
